We create beautiful jewellery for life’s memorable moments.
Jonathan Lambert is not a traditional jewellery business, but more of an exciting collision of contemporary talent with generations of experience. Ours is a story of two people, both passionate about jewellery, who have come together to deliver something truly special.
Set in the heart of historic Lavenham, Jonathan Lambert is where art meets design.
Opening its Lavenham doors in early 2017, Jonathan Lambert brings together two rare talents from the world of jewellery. The pair’s paths first crossed a number of years ago, when they both collaborated on one of the UK’s first ethical jewellery collections. They soon realised that Yasmin’s artistic flair and Jonathan’s unmatched jewellery expertise would make for an enviable combination.
By bringing their abilities together, Jonathan Lambert would grow and be synonymous with jewellery excellence in the region. The rest, as they say is history. The couple, along with Chester the Border Terrier, who provides every customer visiting the store with a warm welcome, now spend their time living and working in their beloved Suffolk, creating beautiful jewellery for life’s memorable moments. If you want to know more about us come and have a chat, we are always happy to talk to our customers about jewellery – it’s what we are all about.
Our Heritage
The Lambert family have a long and illustrious history in jewellery and silversmithing. Francis Lambert was born in 1778, apprenticed as a silversmith when a boy, and by 1800 he set up his own business in Piccadilly which became so successful to attract patrons such as Queen Victoria, The Prince of Wales and many other members of the Royal family. On the death of Fancis Lambert, his son George took over the business.
George Lambert was apprenticed to the Goldsmith’s Company in 1837 and held the office of Prime Warden in 1887, being one of the very few apprentices to have attained that distinction.
This remarkable heritage in jewellery making is something that we are justly very proud of and forms the foundations of our current business.

From there, Yasmin spent several years designing stunning creations for a range of high-profile clients, most notably as a designer for Garrard, the then Crown Jewellers. Most recently she has designed a collection of jewellery for the Royal Collection Trust.
Julie
Julie has been with us for 18 years and is very much part of the family, so much so, we can’t imagine the business without her. You can find her in the shop two days a week and as well as being great fun to be around she does a fantastic job of managing the jewellery collections and repairs and restorations, and keeping everything (including us) on track!
Chester
Chester, our Border Terrier, joined the team in 2012 as a puppy. He was just 15 weeks old. Initially he caused quite a bit of mayhem in the shop, but very soon became a firm favourite with the team and all of our customers, so much so that many make a special trip to see him with treats!
As many of you will know he loves nothing better than sitting on the chair behind the desk looking like he is in charge – (which of course he is!)
